The Latest Update

If you know me, you might be aware that I was in Seoul, South Korea, and Taipei, Taiwan in April & May this year. I’ve not yet blogged about this, and I am about to head to France, so I am a little behind on the travel blogging.

The main reason for this is because I’ve been focusing much of my spare time working on a novel that I’m writing instead. I’d really like to have it finished and published by the end of the year.

Since I’ve been researching different ways I might be able to go about marketing the book as well, I’ve decided to spend most of today working on redesigning this blog/web site, adding a few new pages so that people who don’t know me can find out more, should that interest them.

I am a little ahead of schedule, chapter-wise, for the novel, so maybe I’ll still have time to write that post about Korea and Taiwan before I leave for France. On the other hand, I may also decide to start blogging about more other things here, including about the book I’m writing.

Adrift progress:
Chapters: 12
Word Count: ~73,500

Dominica has a strong interest in exploring diversity in media, seeing people subverting corporate control of creativity through crowdfunding and indie publishing, and spending as much time as she can travelling the world and discovering culture. This is what she most regularly blogs about. In her spare time, Dominica is primarily focused on long-form improv theatre, and writing and publishing speculative fiction. You can find links to some of her free and published stories and screenplays on her writing page, or check out her pirate time-travel novel Adrift. Though born and raised in Australia to American parents, Dominica lived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, between 2008-2014, until she moved to the San Francisco Bay Area. She also has a background in web programming, filmmaking, and stand-up comedy.
